LA BABY! Part 1

Hi C,

I went with V to Los Angeles for July 4th weekend and it was hands down one of the best trips of my life. Not going to lie.. waking up at 3 a.m. on a Saturday was less than ideal lol we were both so exhausted when we got to the airport but we were sooo ready for our adventure to begin! The plane ride went pretty smoothly aside from the fact that V gets very spooked by turbulence! There was an adorable dog in front of us and we became obsessed with it. When we started landing, we looked out the window and the view literally took our breath away. It was STUNNING!

The first thing we did was pick up our rental car. The attendant was not very friendly and kept texting which was so rude. She could definitely tell that we were annoyed so we got an upgrade! A brand new Chrysler.. vroom vroom! Of course our first stop was a CVS so I could stock up on munchies hehe. We then drove past a burger king and I HAD to go and try the Mac n’ Cheetos because hello.. two of my favorites things. They were delicious but definitely nauseating after the third one lol.

We stayed at the boutique hotel Joie de Vivre by LAX. The staff was very friendly and the room was perfect for what we had in mind. We quickly changed and headed over to Venice Beach. As great as having a car is, finding parking in LA is a mission in itself! Soo worth it though. After enjoying the beautiful scenery, we headed over to the Santa Monica Pier. It was crowded as expected but we loved every second of it. I kept buying cotton candy, kettle corn and everything I saw in sight. I’m such a junk food addict!! After a long day, we headed to the hotel and got a glimpse of a stunning sunset (my favorite!).

We had dinner at Jones Hollywood and were impressed by the quaint ambiance and by how fast we received our dinner. 15 minutes! Of course I got the Margherita Pizza and V got a salad. We headed to Harlowe after dinner to meet up with my friends who were in town. I loooved the place! Don’t let the long line discourage you because it moves pretty fast and it’s totally worth it. The DJ was incredible.

The next day we had brunch at the W Hotel in Beverly Hills with my friend R. I had the Eggs Benedict (so original I know) with avocado, V had yogurt with granola and fruits, and R had scrambled eggs with potatoes, toast and sausage.

We were gearing up for.. the Hollywood Sign hike!! Great view, great food and even better company! The Hollywood Sign was a lot harder than we had anticipated but once we finished it, we were so proud of ourselves! Of course we took endless shameless selfies :P

After such a long and hard workout, I insisted that we try IN-N-OUT burger because I had heard incredible things about it but had never tried it. OH MY GOD IT WAS SO WORTH THE WAIT. We went at 3 p.m. on a Sunday and it took us 45 minutes to get our food! There were sooo many people there. It blew my mind how a restaurant that literally has three burger options could be so packed.. after I tried it, it all made perfect sense. All I can say is, YUM.

We then headed over to R’s friends pool party to celebrate the 4th of July.. on July 3rd lmao. When we got to the house, V started doing pull-ups on a pull-up bar that she saw and then it fell off the wall LOL I could not stop laughing and lucky for you.. I was filming it ;)

After the party we went straight to Bungalow in Santa Monica because we heard it was the place to be. It reminded me of a huge mansion with multiple facets to it. Of course there was a sign saying AMOR and I had to take a picture. We met some very strange and some very nice people.. There was a guy who came up to me at the bar and said “I’m going to stand here because I keep getting hit by everyone around me” and I said “oh no problem at all!” and then he turns to me and says “I wasn’t asking you. I was TELLING you.” And I was like… #hawkward. Hahaha. It was epic!

Can’t wait to tell you about the rest of the weekend!
