Ahhh! St. Augustine sounds awesome. I went once when I was like 10 hahaha. As my best friend was getting married in Abu Dhabi, I decided to travel a few days early and spend time with my brother in Dubai. For lunch we went to Atmosphere which is located on the 123rd floor of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. Not going to lie, I was pretty nervous about it since I’m scared of heights hahaha. As expected, the view was simply breathtaking. I must have taken 50 pictures of the view. For my main course, I ordered the Capon, Truffle Duxelles, Green Asparagus and Celeriac Risotto, and the Baked Alaska Clementine.
After the mouthwatering lunch, we headed over to the Dubai Mall (the largest mall in the world). I honestly didn’t even know where to start when we got there! There are stores everywhereee! Let’s just say anything that you could possibly want or need, you can find at the Dubai Mall ranging from Forever 21 to Christian Louboutin. There are several directories spread out throughout so it’s not as complicated to navigate through as I imagined it would be. One of the coolest things about the mall is that there is a huge fish tank in it!
For dinner, we went to Caramel in the Financial District. Let’s just say that the Mac N Cheese with Truffle Oil and 3 Cheese Dipping Sauce was one of the best dishes I have ever tried. They were so addicting! Caramel is a great place to go for dinner and for drinks before going to a club/bar. It has a very relaxed/loungy vibe.
We ended the night at Societe which is located in the Marina Byblos Hotel. It was an ugly Christmas sweater party and we definitely did not get the memo hahaha. The crowd was quite rowdy and I must admit that the music was amazing. I have never heard so many throwback songs in one place. I would love to check the place out again when it isn’t covered in Christmas décor.
All in all, amazing few days in Dubai. Now off to Abu Dhabi!
